SunHaven’s patio furniture is handwoven from premium, 100% high-density polyethylene (HDPE) wicker. HDPE has antimicrobial properties that inhibit fungus and mildew growth. To best preserve and lengthen the life of your set, however, the wicker should be cleaned approximately twice a year, as follows:

Remove all cushions.

Use a garden hose to completely wash down furniture.

Mix a mild soap & lukewarm water, and gently clean the wicker using a soft-bristle brush or sponge. (Getting into the cracks between the weaves helps to better loosen up dirt and grime.)

After brushing, wash it down again with your garden hose until all soap residue is gone

Let your patio set air dry & enjoy your beautiful outdoor space!

For easy care and beautiful color, SunHaven fabric is solution dyed - a dying process where color pigments fully penetrate the fiber, which in turn provides superior color and performance.

Stain, fade, mildew and mold resistant yet still soft and comfortable.

Wash with warm water and mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly. Avoid contact with suntan oils and lotions, and clean promptly if contact occurs.

Our 5” thick ultra-plush seat cushions and 8” thick back cushions are made from high resiliency foam and Polyester fiber, providing a luxe level of comfort and long lasting durability! While our fabrics are water-resistant,heavy or consistent rainfall will still get your cushions wet. 

If your cushions do get wet:

Unzip the cushions.

Prop them up to dry.

Dry for 1-3 days (varies depending on humidity)

Fully drying your cushions ensures their longevity!

In the event of extreme weather or snow, we recommend storing your cushions in a dry place like a garage or shed.

No rust is a must! Most of SunHaven’s frames are made of rust-and-maintenance-free powder coated aluminum. Most care needs will be met with mild soap and water, applied with a non-abrasive cloth and rinsed with water. For tougher spills or buildup, we recommend using a mixture of white vinegar and lukewarm water.

Our Ashton Collection is made of FSC certified Eucalyptus wood. Our furniture is treated with oil that makes the surface impermeable to water and dirt. To best preserve and lengthen the life of your set, we recommend the following:

Clean with damp cloth when dry to remove the dust and dirt. Allow to dry completely before storing.

Oil the furniture once a year, preferably at the beginning of the season to minimize natural cracks. Do not use food grade oil, but an oil designed for treating wood.

Do not place hot dishes on the wood surface and immediately clean any liquid spills.

Store furniture set in shelter during extreme weather conditions and cover when not in use.

To spot clean your Outdoor Polypropylene rug, use a mild detergent such as dish soap or laundry detergent diluted with water (white vinegar can also work). With a soft bristle brush, gently scrub at the spot needing to be cleaned. Pay close attention to the direction of the braided fibers and scrub in the same direction to avoid fraying. Rinse the spot with clean water until all residue has been cleared.

For occasional deep cleaning of your outdoor rug, hose the rug down so it is fully dampened. Dilute a mild detergent such as dish soap or laundry detergent with water, and use a soft bristle brush to scrub along the rug. Always scrub in the same direction as the fibers. Once you have given the whole surface a gentle scrub, hose it off until the detergent has been removed, and leave the rug out in the sun, or other warm dry place, to dry.

All of our blankets are machine washable. To clean, simply put in the washing machine with similar colors, and dry on the gentle cycle.

For spots and stains, treat with your favorite stain remover prior to washing and drying. Do not scrub stain remover into fibers to avoid fraying and pilling, just soak the stain with stain remover and throw it in the wash.

All SunHaven Furniture is expertly designed to withstand different weather conditions and climates.

However, extreme winter conditions can affect the longevity of your set, and thus we recommend protecting your furniture by either storing it in your garage, shed or basement if possible.

If you cannot store your furniture in an enclosed space during extreme winter conditions, we recommend you store the cushions indoors and protect your set with the SunHaven Heavy Duty Lined Patio Furniture Cover.
